Downsizing, and a discount!

I am going to be doing some MAJOR downsizing in my shop, Curtsay Designs, probably as soon as Sunday.

I have decided to change things up a little bit.

I'm working towards a shop that mostly sells patterns for my crochet hats rather than the hats themselves.  I have slowly been adding patterns, and I hope to add several more soon for all the animal hats that seem to be the most popular.

I'm ready for a little Christmas break but basically, I just feel like I spend too much time crocheting and not enough time with my little Ande. Poor neglected child! We're going to start potty training here pretty soon and doing a little 'mommy school' and I want to be able to give him what he needs! (I'll also have a little more time for doing other crafty things that I love!)

Now, if you do NOT crochet and can't follow a crochet pattern and really want to buy a pre-made hat from me, just let me know and I'm sure I can make some exceptions!

SO, what I am trying to say is, if you want to buy one of the hats in my shop, you better do so in the next couple days, or they will mostly all be gone!!!! Yikes!

*If you buy something before Sunday, Dec. 19th, contact me on Etsy or email me at Lindsayhaynie@gmail.com FIRST and I will give you a coupon code for 10% off your order! All you have to do is mention that you read this post!

Friday Finds: Christmas Printable

I just love this Christmas Tree printable. It's so creative. It would look great in a frame as part of your holiday decor, or put it in with your Christmas cards to send out to family.

I saw it here at Someday Crafts, but you can get the original here at Betty Crocker Wannabe.

Getting in the spirit of things

I tried to take some pictures of Ande this morning since we haven't posted many in a while.
This is the best one I got...

Diaper hanging out.
Saggy pants.
Still in his Jammies.
Not even looking at the camera.

We are really getting into the Christmas spirit around here.

It's fun to be in our own home for the first time, during Christmas.
I wish I was better at decorating,

(Thank you Dollar Tree!)

but I am proud of the stockings I made this year.

To all our family that live so far away, we miss you guys and wish we were able to see you this Christmas!
It's weird not to be driving down to GA or AL to hang out with family this year.
We got our Christmas cards printed out but have yet to get any addresses together...what a pain that is!
Hopefully you'll get your cards before Christmas actually arrives. Cross your fingers!

Shop Update {The Slouchy Bow Beanie}

I just finished the pattern for this new hat and posted it in my shop.

{The Slouchy Bow Beanie}

Woohoo!

Creating patterns is harder work than I could have imagined.
I feel such a sense of accomplishment when I finish these things.

Another great thing is that I LOVE this hat! I, of course, made one for myself and have been wearing it everywhere. I am so glad that it's been FREEZING outside so that I had a good reason to wear it!
You can wear this lovely beanie sitting back further on your head for the slouchy look, but you can also wear it like a normal cloche hat. I even got a compliment on this hat from a random guy working at Right-Aid last night, but that's another story for another day.

*The pattern includes pictured instructions for baby, child, teen, and adult sizes!

Monday Must-Haves

{Baby Wraps}

I have a few friends who are pregnant right now and so they inspired my Must-Have search today.
These 2 little baby wraps are perfect if you have a little one during the cold winter months. They both look very well made and much better than the pillow-case idea I had brewing in my head when my son was a baby.

The Noonie - a modern baby blanket
The cool thing about this Noonie is that the look is so different from anything else I've seen. I just love it. I also love that she has so many different color options available!

The Monkey Wrap

This baby looks like it is in the lap of luxury! There's no chance your baby will get cold in this get-up while on the go. Not only does this shop have these monkey wraps, but it also contains some really fun outfits for older kids as well, like Dino and Dragon hoodies! The only unfortunate thing is that you'll have to wait until mid-January to purchase, since the owner of this lovely shop is on ~Vacation~. But I just say, good for her, for enjoying this season with her family!

Towel Boy

This is my little towel boy.
(It's a hand towel)

He thinks he's 12.

This may bore you, but I just wanted to write what Ande's been up to lately for record's sake. He does so many cute things and I don't want to forget anything!

He's really been showing his independence lately.
For some reason he started saying "No" when he means "Yes."
He also says "No" when he means "No."
Complicated child.

He will copy pretty much anything we say now.
His little voice is so cutey patooty, it reminds me of his cousin Beck.
Some of the cute things he says:
I love you - he says "I Lafoooo"
Blankie - he calls it "Mankey"
Puffs (the little disolvable baby food) - he says "Fussies"
He calls Candy - "piece"
I want that - he says "Own Dat"

Things Ande loves right now:
~Blankie
~"cycle" - the scooter we are keeping on our back porch for a friend
~playing outside
~playing chase with his dad
~Candy - dang you Halloween!
~anything cars, trucks, planes

Friday Finds...on Saturday

Sorry folks.
I didn't get around to doing my Friday Finds yesterday.
I could just tell you it was because I was super busy and just didn't have the time...
But that would be a lie.
I wasn't too busy.
I just didn't get around to it!

So anyways, I do still have something fun and ruffly for you, just a day late.

Head over to Punkin Patterns for a tutorial on this super cute headband style! I love the fabrics she uses and the tutorial is easy to follow. This would be a perfect Christmas gift for the little girl/teenager in your life!
