Welcome to my first installment in a 6 week series, Think Happy Thoughts!
For the next 6 weeks, on Mondays, I will be featuring a free crochet pattern, pattern reviews, and even a giveaway or two.
The theme of this series is centered around fairy tales, and all things magical and mystical.
So, follow me, and take a leap into the land of Happily Ever After...

What good is a fairy tale without a dashing Prince Charming to swoop in and save the day?
And what good is a Prince Charming without his trusty crown?
The perfect, princely, accessory.
You could make this crown for a boy or girl, a baby or toddler.
It makes a fun costume for playing dress-up, and a picture perfect prop for photographers.
The pattern is very short and simple.
The sizing will be unique to you and your child.
Simply measure their head, and make enough chains to equal that measurement.
Make sure the number of chains you use is a multiple of 3.
You can use any type of yarn, but I suggest at least a worsted weight over a baby or sport weight.
Now, it's time to get on your trusty steed, ride into your creative space, and get to work!
Try playing around with colors, beads, buttons, ribbon, and sparkles to make it personal and show off your child's personality!
Once you have finished your Prince Charming Crown, come upload your pictures into my Think Happy Thoughts flikr group!
I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Featuring on my Facebook page right now!
That little crown is too cute! I wonder if I could get my 9 year old prince to wear it? Doubtful...but I wish I could rewind time back to when he was 2! I found you through Someday Crafts. Thanks for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteohhh... this is so cute - I especially love the rocking horse picture! I don't sew in any way or shape, but this gorgeous project makes me wish I did... maybe I could make something similar for my toddler girls out of lace... so sweet. Found you via F&J link up and joined up (your site name and graphics are fab) - would love you to pop across and join my site too for some party-crafty fun. http://partycraftsecrets.blogspot.com/
