Proud Momma Moments

Today, I am a proud Momma.
There are a lot of moments in my parental-life thus far that give me pride, but here is just an couple example from today.

Ande has always had a love for books and story time.
It seems to grow stronger every day.
We always read a few stories before nap time and bed time.
He sits in my lap and he gets nice and calm before he lays down.
Lately, however, he has wanted to read his stories all-by-himself!
He plops himself down in the middle of the floor and reads through every page.
The crazy thing is that he has almost all of his books memorized and can recite each page as he flips through.
And then throughout the day, I find him like this:

(The pictures are a little blurry because he kept rocking in the chair!)

He can't seem to get enough and that just warms my soul!

It's a good thing we are welcoming another little baby boy into this house in August... then I will be a doubly proud Momma!

  1. Congratulations, Lindsay! I saw the news on Facebook this morning, and I couldn't be more excited for you guys! I'm also excited that you're having a boy, because seriously, of the 20+ people we know who are pregnant, about 15 of them are having girls {and the other five haven't found out the gender yet}. Here's to adorable baby boys!!

  5. BOY! That's so exciting! Way to go. I guess you'll have to keep on making cute things for boys, instead of a girl. How fun, Ande's gonna have a brother.
