Random Thoughts 1.0

I have a million little thoughts floating through my head right now. I thought it might be good to write them down so they could be out of my head. Then I can start thinking about something else!

1.1 I just read Ande's stories and put him down for a nap. I love story time, but I don't love reading the same 2 books every day at both nap and bedtime. Note to self: Don't buy anymore "truck" related books! I now know more about trucks than any one woman ought to.

1.2 We need some new furniture, mainly chairs. With a 7 month baby bump, Ande doesn't really fit in my lap anymore when sitting on the floor to read. We also need a chair or something else to sit on in our living room. It is kind of awkward when you have somebody come over and you both have to sit on the couch and sort of turn your knees towards each other to talk. I need to start stalking Craigslist and the Goodwill.

1.3 For some reason, Ande keeps abbreviating words. He thinks it's funny, and it totally is! His favorite bear, formerly known as Teddy, is now Ted. Yucky is now just Yuck, and while picking up a weight, instead of saying "this is heavy" he said "this is heavvvv!"

1.4 I tried making a new camera strap cover this morning. Big failure. I even took pictures so I could write a simple tutorial. It was almost IMPOSSIBLE to turn the thing right side out. Is there an easier way to do this that I just don't know about? I had attached this beautiful handmade (not by me) lace to the strap cover and totally ripped it to pieces while trying to turn the darn thing. So disappointing.

1.5 We are setting up shop at the local FLEA MARKET this weekend at the N.C. State fairgrounds. I went to a couple craft fairs in April and thought, "I could totally do this!" So, I know it's just the flea market, but I'm going to start out small by selling a few hats/hair bows/necklaces/and purses that I've made. That's all I've been able to think about for the past 2 weeks. Do I have enough stuff to sell? Will anyone even buy my stuff? Should I wait until the fall when it's cooler and more people will buy crochet hats? Even with all my reservations, I'm going to go for it anyway. If anything, it will get my small little crochet business some recognition. If you live in the area and are looking for something to do this Saturday, come stop by my booth!

  1. Good luck with the new booth. I've been wanting to do something like that for years but just can't gather the courage. I hope it works out, be sure to let us know how it goes maybe that'll give me some inspiration. =D
